These pictures were taken soon after initial treatment was begun on November 2006. The patient is an energetic 81 year old lady with a long history of dermatological conditions dating back to her teenage years. The lady in question had suffered from intermittent ulceration for a three year period. In the last year and a half, after minor damage to her leg through a slight accident tissue breakdown ensued. Pressure bandages which caused considerable difficulty and pain in walking were associated with the common gauze bandages and wound dressings. Wound closure is, as yet [15.02.07] not yet complete but a drammatic improvement leading to closure is documented in the available series of pictures outlined below.
