Latest Treatment Options

Across the world, specialist medical centres are making astonishing advances. This often means that a particular treatment can be considered mainstream in one place, but patients elsewhere - who could benefit from the same treatments - have to wait or miss out.

Due to high capital costs and time required to spread technical expertise it can be several years before new treatments become widely available.

Doctors cannot know all that is available in other countries, whilst patients ask about new developments which they have heard of through the media and internet. Sometimes these are treatments which are currently available but often they are still in trial or under development.

Faced with limited or inaccurate information doctors cannot respond positively and must rely upon existing knowledge.

The MHL Solution

Patients, their doctors and the media need clear, independent information about advanced, safe, effective treatments that may not be available in their own country or through their local or national health services. They need to know:

  • What treatments are available, which hospitals provide them and how much they cost.
  • How long the treatments have been available, their success rates and safety records, and how long they have been licensed for medical use (for example by the FDA in the US).
  • What it is like to undergo a particular treatment - the time it takes, any side-effects and the experience of being treated in a particular hospital or clinic
  • How to contact the hospitals or clinics providing the treatment in order to discuss treatment options, obtain a diagnosis and make practical arrangements
